Do You See Me ?

A Journey of Stories and Dreams

Overview

It is project a heartfelt initiative that celebrates the individuality, strength, and untold stories of people experiencing homelessness. Through compassion, creativity, and community support, we aim to provide them with a platform to share their journeys, inspire hope, and restore dignity. This initiative seeks to break stereotypes while highlighting the resilience and dreams of individuals too often overlooked by society.

How the Project Works

Step One: Seeing & Understanding Their Journey

Capturing Their Daily Life

Each participant will be personally invited to join the
“Do You See Me?” project. We want them to know they are seen, valued, and celebrated as the stars of their own stories.

Our volunteer team will document moments from their daily lives—where they spend their time, their routines, what they eat, and the people who offer them support.

This step helps humanize their experiences, creating an authentic and respectful portrayal of both their struggles and their aspirations.

Step Two: Transformation & Celebration

A Transformational Experience at our thrift shop

The participant will be welcomed at our community thrift shop, where they will receive a warm reception, a refreshing shower, and clean clothes.

With the guidance of our volunteers, they will choose a stylish outfit — including clothing, shoes, and accessories — that helps them reconnect with their unique sense of style.

This special moment is designed to restore self-confidence, self-esteem, and dignity — allowing each person to feel seen, loved, and recognized as a human being.

Professional Photoshoot

Sharing Their Story

Participants will experience the excitement and joy of a professional photoshoot—complete with lights, cameras, and a supportive, celebratory atmosphere.

This is a celebration of their uniqueness, capturing their essence with dignity and care.

f you’re a photographer, join us in this project. Bring your unique perspective, your experience, and your energy.

Be a volunteer and help us capture dignity, beauty, and transformation.

After the photoshoot, each participant will be invited to take part in a heartfelt interview led by one of our trained volunteers.

This is their opportunity to share life stories, dreams, and hopes for the future.

Every narrative will be captured with authenticity, empathy, and deep respect—honoring each individual’s unique journey and voice.

If you have experience in communication, journalism, or storytelling, we invite you to join us.

Bring your skills to help amplify these powerful stories. Be a volunteer—help us tell the truth with love.

Step Three: Community Recognition & Empowerment

A curated exhibition will showcase the portraits and stories of our participants, celebrating their beauty, strength, and resilience.

This public event will also raise awareness about homelessness, fostering deeper compassion and understanding within the community.

Visitors will be encouraged to reflect on these powerful stories, fostering empathy and inspiring action.

Dream Box

During their interviews, participants will write down their dreams and aspirations on small cards to place in a symbolic Dream Box.

At the exhibition, these dreams will be revisited—highlighting their courage, hope, and belief in a brighter future.

Photo & Story Exhibition

Community Letters

Visitors at the exhibition will have the chance to write personal letters of encouragement and support to the participants.

This simple gesture creates a ripple effect of kindness, helping reinforce a sense of connection, care, and belonging.

Mini Documentary

The project will culminate in a short film that highlights the stories, struggles, and triumphs of the participants.

This documentary will be screened at the exhibition and shared online to inspire empathy and collective action in addressing homelessness.
