Empowering the Community

About the Project

Our House Thrift Shop is not just a donation center — it is a community empowerment initiative that combines affordable shopping with social impact. Through this project, we offer dignity, confidence, and new opportunities to individuals and families in our community.

To keep our projects running and support the services we offer to those in need, it is essential that the community shops with us.

80% of donated items are sold at very affordable prices — the majority of items cost between $1 and $5, with a small number of special pieces priced up to $20.

The remaining 20% of the donations go directly to individuals in need through our voucher program or targeted free distributions.

By shopping with us, you directly fund our programs for the homeless, families in need, and community development initiatives.

How It Works

Affordable Shopping & Free Distribution

Our boutique is open to the public, offering gently used clothing, shoes, accessories, and household items at low prices.

Individuals who meet specific criteria can receive vouchers to shop for free through our social programs.
Personalized Service

Those eligible for free clothing receive individualized support through scheduled appointments.

Our volunteers are trained to provide a dignified and welcoming experience, ensuring everyone feels valued and respected.
Community Donations & Partnerships

We rely on donations from individuals, businesses, and local stores to keep our boutique stocked with quality, stylish, and seasonal items.

We also seek partnerships with beauty professionals to offer self-care services to program participants.

Beyond Clothing: Personal Growth

We offer workshops and development sessions that empower individuals to improve their self-esteem, build life skills, and prepare for future opportunities.

Some workshops include:

  • Self-Esteem and Confidence Building
  • Professional Image and Job Readiness
  • Financial Literacy and Budgeting

  • Being referred by a partner organization

Vouchers can be exchanged for clothing, shoes, and accessories in the boutique.

Special Services

  • Free Professional Photoshoots to boost self-confidence and celebrate personal transformations.
  • Formal Wear Lending Closet for graduations, job interviews, weddings, and special events.
  • Community Fashion Shows & Exhibitions to showcase inclusion, diversity, and personal empowerment.

Sewing & Clothing Restoration Area

Our boutique also includes a dedicated space for basic sewing classes, where participants can learn valuable skills in clothing repair and alterations. In addition, our team restores donated clothing items to extend their life and improve their resale value. The revenue generated from these restored pieces directly supports our community projects. This space serves both as a training center and a sustainability hub, helping us reduce waste while providing learning opportunities and income for our programs.

Community Partnerships

We actively collaborate with schools, nonprofits, businesses, and local leaders to expand the reach and impact of the boutique. Together, we organize:

  • Donation Drives
